EZAutomation's Commitment to "Made in America"
Made in america Articles
AVG Automation has been in design and manufacture of Automation products since 1968. It has several manufacturing facilities in the Midwest. Chinese attacked the American electronics manufacturing industry in 2000 with its admission to the World Trade Organization. In a short decade, it decimated this industry and most Fortune 1000 companies in the US had no choice but to set up manufacturing operations in China or simply import the products they were previously building in the US. This caused the US to lose more than 11 million American jobs from 1996 to 2008 and damage continues.
In addition to general theft of Intellectual property by China, it specifically attacked AVG in 2005 when Automationdirect, whose parent Koyo Electronics of Japan who manufacturers almost all of its Automation products in China, introduced C-More HMIs to replace EZTouch for which Automationdirect had been AVG’s exclusive marketing partner for the last five years. A Chicago Jury in 2010 found Automationdirect and Koyo guilty of stealing AVG’s confidential intellectual property and breaching their exclusive agreement with AVG. Eventually the parties settled the case out of court, the terms of which are confidential.
US imports close to $220 Billion a year of Chinese Electronic products every year. Europe is also the same way. More than 80% of all Automation products used in the world today are manufactured in China. Finally, American public is waking up to the existential threat caused by the total dominance of electronics manufacturing in China. Both political parties in the US are outbidding each other on who will put additional tariffs on imports from China. There is no question that the price and availability of Automation control products imported from China will become increasingly unstable and unpredictable in the coming years.
China waged an unrestricted war on American manufacturing from 1998 onwards and then again targeted AVG in 2005. But AVG refused to submit to this naked Chinese aggression. AVG Automation is one of the handful of companies that refused to set shop in China or import Chinese goods. With our vertical integration in manufacturing from semiconductors to hybrids to PCBAs to Finished products, we chartered a different course: We focused on serious "Design for Manufacturing" to reduce the amount of manual production labor in our products, went to highly automated manufacturing right here in the US, allowing us to keep American jobs and give you, our customers, top quality products with exceptional American innovation. Having design, manufacturing and marketing in the same facilities, it certainly gives us an edge in coming up with new products, providing top-shelf technical and application support and from EZAutomation, great prices because that is an added benefit of selling Factory Direct.
So, EZAutomation provides you Exceptionally Innovative Automation Products, Made in America, Top Quality, and sold FactoryDirect @ Great Prices.
